The new 18,500 sq ft store is set to open in 2021.
Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, said: "The retail park is one of the city’s key out-of-town locations, benefitting from a growing population in Eye, excellent access to both the A47 and A1 along with direct links into Peterborough city centre. This is the ideal location for a new Aldi, attracting significant footfall and helping to cement Peterborough One’s already excellent reputation as a key shopping destination."
Savills is one of the joint marketers of the scheme, alongside SPACE - Retail Property Consultants.
The Peterborough One Retail Park is now 94% let, accommodating Van Hage Garden Centre, Steadman & Co Hairdressing and The Works along with leisure offerings Inflata Nation and Hebden Dance Co. The latter, along with beauty school Kiss and Make Up, took on their new premises during the pandemic.
Aldi plans to have 1,200 stores in operation by 2025, with the 900th site opening in Berkshire at the end of October. This is part of a £1.3billion investment in the UK over the next two years, creating around 4,000 jobs nationwide.
