Peterborough-based Car dealership invites local causes to apply for charity fundraising

The used car specialist which has two dealerships in the city, launched its Share With charitable campaign last year to support local causes. SW has pledged to give away £500 every three months to benefit local charities in Peterborough and the surrounding communities.

A large employer in the city, SW plays a proud part in supporting the local community. Through its previous two rounds of Share With funding, the car supermarket group has awarded Families First Peterborough and Bearded Villains East Anglia each with a £500 grant.

This April, other local charities and community causes wishing to be considered for the £500 grant are encouraged to apply online now, and will have until Friday 7 May to submit their applications.

The winning cause will be selected by a panel of SW Car Supermarket employees, including the company’s Operations Director, John Marshall, and CEO, Anton Khan.

Mr Khan, founder and CEO of SW Car Supermarket, is encouraging charity groups to get involved and apply. He says, “We aim to support small local charities and causes in our community to help those most in need.

“It’s important for us to reinvest back into the city of Peterborough - a place where we’ve operated for almost 12 years now and a community that’s very close to our hearts. Our share With application process is now open and we look forward to awarding a worthy cause with £500 very soon.”

SW Car Supermarket and SW Car Superstore stock up to 2,000 used cars at some of the lowest prices in the UK. It is the largest independent dealer of Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen vehicles in East Anglia.

The company has recently expanded its offering by stocking used vans too and has already become the largest independent stockholder of commercial vehicles in the county.

Having had to shut its showroom doors during the recent lockdown, SW has now been able to reopen its two branches to customers searching for a used vehicle. The dealership’s buy online service will continue to be available, offering click and collect, and home delivery options for customers too.

Local charities and community groups hoping to be considered for the £500 Share With grant can email partnerships@swcarsupermarket.uk and are being asked to provide details of their cause and how the money will make a difference.

Applicants have until midnight on Friday May 7, to make their submissions. For more information about the charity campaign, including terms and conditions, visit here
