Access to Ancestry.com is normally available at libraries throughout the city, but with lockdown ensuring those services remain shut, the team at Vivacity has worked with the family history website to allow Peterborough library members to continue to research their ancestors.

The online portal will be free for Vivacity library members until the end of May.

People who are not members of the library can still sign up for free online by visiting: peterborough.spydus.co.uk.

Members can also access ebooks, audiobooks and digital copies of magazines and journals.

This is just one part of the Vivacity at Home platform, launched to bring the services provided by the Peterborough charity to homes across the city.
