A 'no-body' murder investigation has been launched to find the 17-year-old, who has been missing for eight weeks.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "We've currently got search teams out in Cowbit searching open areas, and also at a garage block/lock-up in Walton (Churchfield Road)."

Neighbours in the area said the Churchfield Road block was cordoned off yesterday, and a source said: "Two police officers and a police car were at the cordon about 3pm yesterday, but when we left around 6pm there was only one police officer still there."

Bernadette's parents, Sarah Walker, 37, and Scott Walker, 50, both of Century Square in Millfield, Peterborough have been charged with her murder and will appear at Peterborough Crown Court tomorrow.
