Police calm 'aggressive' situation after car clamped in city centre

Police were called to a heated argument yesterday after a car was clamped on Park Road - and a man had locked himself in his own car.
Police called after car clamped outside Geneva House on Park Road, Peterborough

On Thursday (September 23), at 1.30pm police officers were called to Park Road in Peterborough city centre.

It’s believed someone had clamped a vehicle parked at Geneva House, Park Road, in the pay and display car park - and the car owner was not impressed by the person who had informed inspectors.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: “The owner of the vehicle had returned and become aggressive so the informant locked himself in his vehicle and called the police.

“Officers attended and calmed the situation, with the man complying with the parking restrictions.”
