Overturned lorry on A1 causing delays

Emergency services including Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire policeare on site of an incident on the A1 at Worthorpe, near Peterborough.

They were called at 6.49am today (January 21) after reports of a lorry hitting the central reservation and overturning. 

This is impacting the Southbound Carriageway and motorists have been advised to use alternative routes. 

A spokesperson for Leicestershire police said: “We were called at 6.49am to a report of a lorry overturned and had collided into the central reservation. 

“The driver was accessed by East Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene for a head injury, our log does not suggest that it is a life threatening/life changing injury.”
