Search for Bernadette Walker moves to Dogsthorpe

Cambridgeshire Constabulary have continued in their efforts to find Bernadette Walker as the search moves to Dogsthorpe, Peterborough.

The investigation is now coming into its 11th week, with Star Pit in Dogsthorpe the most recent place the police force are searching. 

Officers attended the scene yesterday, November 23, and remain there today, November 24. 

Specialist officers have been searching for 17-year-old Bernadette Walker for over two months since the investigation was labelled a 'no-body murder investigation'. Meanwhile, Bernadette was officially reported missing on July 21, four months ago. 

Searches for started on September 12, starting at Bernadette's home in Century Square, Millfield, before moving to garages on Churchfield Road in Walton on September 14. 

September 14 also saw searches continue in Cowbit which have been ongoing, while October 1 saw green spaces near the Gunthorpe Road and Paston Parkway roundabout searched.

On October 5, teams moved to Newborough, before confirming they were searching enclosed areas on October 20.

On November 9, the search team moved to Cuckoo Hollows in Werrington, and have since started searching Star Pit in Dogsthorpe. 

Bernadette's parents, Sarah Walker, 37, and Scott Walker, 50, both of Century Square in Millfield, Peterborough, are due to appear in court on November 30 charged with her murder.
