The 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital following the incident on Sunday (June 6) when up to five teenage boys set her hair on fire in a Peterborough park.

The incident took place at the Recreation Ground in Normanton Road at around 2pm while the girl was sitting on the swings.

She burned her arm and hand as she attempted to put the fire out.

As of today (June 8) no arrests have been made, and police have again urged people with any information to get in touch.

The suspects have been described as white teenagers roughly aged around 15, wearing dark clothes with one of them carrying a backpack. They ran off in the direction of Parnwell after the incident.
