Gallery: Christmas lights switch-on brings Festive cheer

Cathedral Square was buzzing as the Christmas Lights were turned on for 2021 tonight, November 19.

The lights were switched on at 7pm by Father Christmas, ably assisted by mayor Cllr Stephen Lane and panto performers from New Theatre Peterborough, The Cresset and the Key Theatre.

The event was compered by PCRFM's Kev Lawrence and featured performances from acts including George Elliott and Upon This Rock; Tommy Philpott; and panto royalty Bobby Crush.

The event was supported by City Fibre, Princebuild and Vodafone.

Last year's light switch-on was a virtual event due to the ongoing Covid restrictions.
