The annual Yaxley Festival is back with a bang.
Hundreds of people were spotted enjoying the live bands, food stalls and several rides on the second day of the event being held on Middletons Recreation Grounds in Yaxley. Families and groups of friends were seen enjoying picnics in the sun.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend this free three-day event, which describes itself as a "madcap mashup of culture, community, heritage and sports".
Powered 100% by volunteers and created by the community, YaxFest punches way above its weight.
The event is on until May 15 and includes the traditional Yaxley Festival parade, led by Jack-in-the-Green and his attendants.
Yesterday evening (Friday) some great performances by local bands kept the public entertained.
Other attractions include a funfair, a food court, craft stalls, traders, and a charity football match, with a car show on Sunday and a dog show on Saturday.
