Good news as 'lost' defibrillator is returned

A defibrillator that had gone missing in Bretton has been returned back after it was used elsewhere.

We reported last week that the public access defibrillator had gone missing from a locked box in the Community Centre building in the Pyramid Centre, and there was a possibility it had been stolen.

However it can be used by anyone in the event of an emergency  - and that's exactly what had happened.

Kirsty Riddler, of St John Ambulance Bretton Unit, contacted us to let us know it was back.

Kirsty said: "It had been taken to a medical emergency at Planet Ice but with lockdown it had been left there. It’s now returned to the cabinet and accessible to the public again

"Thank you so much for asking for public for help in finding out what happened, I’m really glad it was used for its intended purpose and is now back."
