Raj Mondair is now running the UK's leading sustainable driveway company Oltco

The company aims to deliver a sustainable driveway solution, with Oltco’s innovative, Recycle Bound product being used across Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Neots, Oundle, Crowland and the surrounding towns and villages.

Recycle Bound is made by utilising waste plastic that is already in circulation from straws to plastic bags. Each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore, if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 50 square metre drive, the equivalent of 150,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process.

Raj's previous experience includes formerly working in a solicitor's firm. However, she has now ventured on a new journey by running Oltco Peterborough and she hopes to empower more women to enter the construction and home improvement sectors.

Raj said: “My children are grown up so I felt that now was the right time to begin this new venture, and I can’t wait to get stuck in. I hope that through Oltco Peterborough, I am able to empower other women to take the leap and launch their own business.”

Tom Stringer, co-director at Oltco, said: “We are so excited to welcome Raj on board as she is the first female franchisee in our network. We love that Oltco has provided Raj with the opportunity to run her own business and grow her own team with all the support of our existing Oltco network.”
