Announcements for rescheduled events are coming in fast after the lockdown announcement brought entertainment venues across the city scrambling to adjust. New dates for some of the New Theatre shows are:

  • That'll Be the Day is now on Wednesday, September 23
  • Ian Ashpitel & Jonty Stephens as Eric & Ern is now Sunday, October 4
  • Someone Like You – The Adele Songbook is now Thursda, October 8
  • ELO Again is now Sunday, November 22
  • Showaddywaddy is now Saturday, September 26
  • Carole: The Music of Carole King is now Sunday, November 15
  • Blake Christmas Classics is now Sunday, November 29

Two musicals have been announced for the 2021 season; Rock of Ages from February 9 to 13 and We Will Rock You from April 19 to 24. The Queen-inspired musical is set to be a sell-out run - 1,500 tickets were sold in the first 24 hours - so anyone considering it is advised to book now.

The theatre is also planning on launching Sunday Lockdown Lounge, a selection of personal performances from singers, actors and musicians taken to Facebook to keep everyone connected during this difficult time. More information will be posted on the theatre's social media: facebook.com/PboroTheatre/.

Tickets can be booked via the New Theatre website: newtheatre-peterborough.com/.
