Family Fun Day organised for Hampton residents on August 14

Active Hampton, in association with Vivacity and Hampton Parish Council, are holding a free fun day on Saturday August 14 to celebrate the Olympics and encourage people to get active once again.

There will be various activities taking place throughout the day including archery, dance and bouncy castle - and all Hampton residents are being invited to join in.

Hampton Parish Council has donated £1,000 towards community projects, including the fun day which is to be held between 11am and 3pm at Beaumont Way in Hampton.

During their latest meeting, held on August 5, Councillor Vijay Patel reminded everyone of the event and highlighted that it aims to promote exercise and physical activity.

He urged residents to either walk or cycle to the event.

People who can’t do either and will need to drive are being requested to park either at the Hargate Primary School or the Active Hampton car park for disabled badge holders. Parking spaces will be limited on the day.

Medals will also be given to participants at the end of the event.
