The donation was made to The Kite Trust, a charity that supports the wellbeing and creativity of LGBTQ+ young people in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.

Gareth Davies, Site Leader at Amazon in Peterborough, said: “The staff and volunteers at The Kite Trust provide great services for our community, and we wanted to support them with this donation – it’s great to lend a helping hand to an important charity in our community.”

Pip Gardner, Chief Executive at The Kite Trust, added: “The support from Gareth and the team at Amazon is greatly appreciated – our services provide spaces for LGBTQ+ young people to be themselves, make friends and have fun – something which is especially needed in light of pandemic restrictions.

"Every donation helps us make sure these spaces are there for all LGBTQ+ young people who need them.”

Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million healthy breakfasts to families around the UK.
