Black Friday: Which stores are doing Click and Collect?

With Black Friday just around the corner, you can be somewhat thankful that you can do all of your shopping from home - but if you'd rather collect in person, many stores are still offering Click & Collect services.

Black Friday is usually one of the busiest days for retail footfall, let alone those online sales, but this year, all shopping will need to be online (unless, of course, you're going to the likes of Dobbies, Van Hage, B&M and The Range, in which case, these all remain open).

If you still want to head out, you're able to pick up your parcel from various stores, with those operating within Queensgate being based at an information desk near Primark.

In Queensgate, stores open for Click & Collect are:

  • H Samuel
  • John Lewis
  • Lakeland
  • Lush
  • MenKind
  • Next
  • The Fragrance Shop
  • The Perfume Shop

Queensgate will be open for these services from Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm, Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm

Other stores offering Click and Collect include:

  • Waterstones
  • Smyths
  • The Entertainer
  • Argos
  • Matalan
  • Dunelm
  • Currys

Non-essential retail stores were forced to close their doors from November 5, with plans to reopen on December 2 as Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed a second national lockdown.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said at the time of the announcement: "From Thursday, November 5, until the start of December, you must stay at home. You may only leave home for specific reasons, for education, for work if you cannot work from home, for exercise, recreation outdoors from your household or on your own, or with one person from another household. For medical reasons, appointments and to escape injury or harm, to shop for food and essentials or to care for vulnerable people as a volunteer."

Mr Johnson has confirmed that the second lockdown will see the closure of non-essential retail, leisure, entertainment, pubs and restaurants; while schools and essential retail will stay open.
