Child seriously injured after dog bite in Hampton

A boy has been seriously injured after being attacked by a dog in Hampton in Peterborough.

Emergency services including the Magpas advanced medical team were called to Braymere Road following reports of a dog bite this afternoon, with the Air Ambulance landing in the area at 1:49pm. 

A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "We were called at about 1.30pm today (February 23) with reports a child had been badly bitten by a dog in Braymere Road, Hampton.

"Officers and paramedics attended. The child, a boy, has been seriously injured as a result of the attack and is receiving medical treatment.

"The dog has been restrained at the scene."
