Adriano Nocera, 51, was shortlisted from over 2,500 entries and will join nine other worthy contestants to go head to head to win the coveted title.

He runs Allbright Property Maintenance Ltd, in Peterborough, and is aiming to impress the panel of judges with his brilliant customer service and passion for the trade when he appears in the virtual final next week.

The finalists will take part in a two-day event, co-hosted with Google, before the winner is announced at Screwfix LIVE on Friday, October 2.

The bespoke event will include multiple training sessions from Google Digital Garage to up-skill the finalists on how to use online to find new customers.

Adriano is thrilled to have reached the final stage and said: "I have worked hard my entire career and reaching the final is a real achievement. We support over 1000 properties in the area, including children’s homes - helping to improve families' lives. Being a finalist is something I am very proud of."

Simon Jackson, customer and digital director at Screwfix, said: "We recognise the importance of supporting our tradespeople, and now, more than ever, we want to reward them for their hard work in keeping their communities and customers safe in their homes.

"We have seen thousands of quality entrants this year and I look forward to meeting the finalists, as we look to crown one high calibre individual as Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020. I’d like to congratulate Adriano for reaching the final and I wish all the finalists the best of luck."

During the final, Adriano will face a panel of industry-leading judges including representatives from Screwfix the NICEIC, CIPHE, FMB and 2019 winner Darren McGhee.

The winner will take home a trade bundle of tools, a training budget and technology to help them take their business to the next level - altogether worth £20,000.
