Budget transformation turns caravan into glamavan

Clara Naylor, 23, from Peterborough, has transformed her temporary home into a glamorous pad for less than £1,000.

Clara is living in a caravan temporarily while she awaits the completion of her home on the same land, but for the meantime, she wanted to ensure her home suited her taste – all while sticking to a budget.

Her budget included new furnishings, using stick on tiles and stickers to cover her shower.

With some stick on tiles from Amazon, Clara covered up her orange and beige kitchen tiles with a simple white tile and black grout combination; paired with pink bowls and plates, a pink vase and pink flowers.

To cover up her beige cupboards, she painted them grey and added a rose gold toaster, microwave and knife block to finish the kitchen.

In the bathroom, the patterned tiles were not quite Clara's style, so she added some marble cover to make the bathroom suit her taste more closely.

Finally, with a coating on the fireplace and more frames and decor added, Clara transformed her wooden exterior to white, matching the rest of her caravan perfectly.

Speaking to Peterborough Matters, Clara said: "It was tough and very hard, but it did end up giving me a DIY addiction! I love the satisfaction of seeing the change and I can't wait to get in my new home to do it there too!"
