Tamu will soon be turned into 'Blind Tiger' a cafe by day, cocktail bar by night.
The new bar, hoping to open in mid-May, will serve hot drinks in the morning before offering cocktails, wine and specialised craft ale from 12pm to 10pm – for cheese lovers, the good news is that a cheese board will also be on the menu.
Bottles of craft ale will be available to buy as part of a takeaway service too.
The director of Peterborough-based recruitment organisation ZT Logistics, Neil Treliving, submitted an application for the new site which has since been approved by Peterborough City Council.
Live music has also been suggested as a possibility across the weekends, but the licensing application states: "We are not planning live music, but would like only a provision in case of an unamplified acoustic performance early in the evening."
The popular dessert bar Tamu closed in April 2020 offering a closing down sale on social media.
