Mobile testing continues in Peterborough community centres

Two mobile testing units are in place in Peterborough community centres this week, to ensure it is as easy as possible for people to get tested if they have coronavirus symptoms.

Once again, testing will be carried out at Dogsthorpe and Gladstone Park community centres.

Testing will take place at Dogsthorpe Community Centre on Tuesday, August 11 and Saturday, August 15. Gladstone Park Community Centre will have testing capabilities on Wednesday, August 12 and Sunday, August 16. Slots will be available between 10am and 3pm.

You can just turn up for a test, or book online on the NHS website or by phone on 119. These centres are accepting walk-in appointments, but to avoid a wait it is advised to book in advance.

The East of England Showground is still operating a drive-thru testing facility, but appointments for that centre must be booked through the government website.

Get tested for Covid-19 if you have a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Government guidance states tests need to be carried out within the first five days of symptoms appearing in order to be the most effective.
