Peters' Cleaners, from Peterborough, are looking for £250,000 of funding

Peters' Cleaners, Peterborough’s award-winning dry cleaning company, has partnered with Seedrs to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign to fund its growth agenda.

The company aims to raise £250,000 on the crowdfunding platform to enable it to better meet fast-growing demand through their innovative dry cleaning pods.

Peters' Cleaners has revolutionised the dry cleaning experience over the past two years, and customers can now access fully automated dry cleaning drop-off and collection points that provides the same high-quality standard of service and quick turnaround for which the company is renowned.

The pods are a unique concept in the dry cleaning industry and have been introduced by Peters’ Cleaners with customer convenience firmly in mind.

The capital raised will be used for marketing, equipment, working capital, growing the team as the company prepares to franchise its business model.

The pods can be found at locations busy people visit regularly and re-imagines the accessibility of dry cleaning, laundry and alterations by being accessible 24/7. Owning the full dry cleaning process from the pod to the company’s cleaning hub means Peters' Cleaners can ensure the high-standard of dry cleaning remains and that their 99.9% customer satisfaction rating isn't compromised.

Vicky Whiter, owner and managing director of Peters' Cleaners said: ''I was that busy commuter and found no dry-cleaner was open when and where I needed service. My market research showed 42% of my fellow passengers had the same problem. Opening a shop at the station was cost prohibitive so I developed our dry cleaning pods.

"They are fully automated, needs no staff and costs 85% less than a shop to operate. The pods meet customers’ dry-cleaning needs for how we live now. No queues, no outdated opening hours, no high prices for low quality; just great service and convenience.''

Peters' Cleaners plan to expand quickly using a blend of organic growth and franchising, placing pods in commuter train stations, business parks and supermarket car parks. They have already secured contracts with LNER and British Land, with more talks underway as well as interest from the US market. The company also has had approval to franchise their hub and spoke model of operation.

The company are now turning to crowdfunding to support them in raising these funds in exchange for equity in the business. Retail and professional investors can invest from as little as £10.

The campaign goes live today and will remain open for investment for the foreseeable future.  For more information go to: www.seedrs.com/peterscleaners
