Home Bargains are expecting to open what will be their first shop in Peterborough in January 2021 – and savvy shoppers are already counting down the days until they can get their hands on the latest deals.

The popular discount store - which sells home ware, cleaning products and food basics - will be opening its doors on Saturday, January 23, and they're recruiting now for staff.

A spokesman from Home Bargains said: "Our Peterborough store is due to open on January 23, 2021. We are currently recruiting for store supervisors, store assistants and store cleaners, and would encourage those interested to head to our careers website for more information."

The store will be located next door to Iceland Food Warehouse which will open its doors on December 1.

Home Bargains and Iceland Food Warehouse have taken over the former Toys R Us store which closed in 2018, before the vacant building was set alight in April 2019.
