A licencing application has been submitted to Peterborough City Council to host an outdoor market with a bar on Alfric Square, Woodston.

The event, which would take place on May 1, would be hosted by The Iceni Meadery, who like to host events often throughout the year with a range of different drinks to try.

Drinks would be available to buy throughout the day, with the event proposed to take place from 9am to 6pm.

It is expected that no more than 150 people will be in attendance at any one time.

The event is usually popular, and between lockdown restrictions they were able to host events in both September and December 2020.

Although they haven't revealed the full extent on the plans, in September they also hosted art stalls and activities including caricaturist John Elsom (seen at the Peterborough Beer Festival), artist Ruth Baldry, reiki teacher Kate Gasson, blacksmith David Baynes, beekeeper Amy Price, and many more.
