The venue will still remain at reduced capacity, but events are able to go ahead, and organisers have started planning their opening season already.

In an email sent out to theatre-fans, they said: "We are delighted to announce the Key Theatre will be reopening its doors from May 17 with a full programme of Film, Music and Live Performances, all in the comfort of our socially distanced auditorium.

"When booking you will discover we have made it easier to find a show and select your seats with our new customer friendly online box office."

As they prepare to return, they have a mixture of cinema shows, family theatre, drama and comedy.

Due to social distancing, it is advised that bookings are made prior to the event, as it is not guaranteed on the day.
