Peterborough Men's Mental Health Day will be held at the Allia Future Business Centre on that Wednesday from 11am until 4pm.

This event will provide attendees with simple and effective techniques to manage the stresses of daily life, at home and in the workplace. There will be guest speakers, focus group sessions and a panel discussion, as well as an informal networking opportunity that will showcase where attendees can go for further help and support.

One of the speakers, Dr Ian Tennant, is a health coach and author. His session will be focused around the challenges faced by modern men and how they can maintain balance in their day-to-day activities. Gary Johannes is a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with experience in mental health awareness and training people to spot the signs of poor mental health, and Steve Consalvez is a successful businessman and psychologist who has been running empowerment seminars for nearly three decades.

Statistics show that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and a NHS psychiatric survey carried out in 2014 in England suggested that 1 in 8 men have a common mental health problem.

The event is free to attend, but the organisers ask that those interested register their interest here:
