The seven acts united for a day of recording three weeks ago for charity, and their entire seven hours of tech, funk, reggae and more can be heard below, thanks to Eclectic Ballroom, Red 7 Productions and the Queen's Head.

The first two acts Signal and Julian Roberts 45s  -Signal's brilliant reggae nights have proved popular in Peterborough for some time, while Julian is a veteran DJ of the Peterborough Underground Scene and beyond for 30+ years, with "too many genres to list" and a love of playing vinyl on 1210s.

The event is supporting NHS Charities Together and Carers UK, who both of course have helped so many people during the pandemic - you can sponsor them here and here.

Our two acts below are Anthony Thornhill and Eclectic Ballroom.

Anthony started dj’ing when a student at university in Birmingham, before moving back to Peterborough and playing in various bars including ‘The Bar and Gem bar, before playing a regular residency in the infamous Toho, with mainly low fi jazzy house music.

Since then and more recently he has held nights at the Lightbox playing all things electronic, a regular night playing at Twelve All Saints in Stamford playing funk and house and also Mama Liz's for a crossover of indie and electronic.

He's also recently held a regular slot at Charters Bar which was an indie night, while the NHS fundraiser saw him go back to his jazzy house and funk roots.

Co hosts/organisers Eclectic Ballroom are Jim Norton and Zed Malik, who are well known for their many events at Charters, Queens Head and other venues.

They have a huge and extensive background of sets at Glastonbury, Green Meadows, Music Barn, Secret Garden party, Big Chill, Beautiful Dayz and many more.

Our next two acts are itsus and Helena Julia - the previous four hours of music are still available to for your listening pleasure-  soul, funk, house and much more - and there is still one more set to go, from around midnight.

Itsus is comprised of producer and DJ duo Chris Pearson and Adam Castleton.

Chris said: " We formed recently as another partnership finished I was involved with (Periodic) and I bumped in to Adam and we started making music.

"We have both DJ’d and produced for a number of years as well as running our own nights in and around Peterborough and London. We have a couple of mixtapes up on our SoundCloud page and have just put up our first original track, Breth."

Helena Julia has been around the electronic music scene for many years.

She is the co-founder of successful Peterborough club nights ‘Sound’ and ‘Flux’. Her early influences are that of German techno, followed by a journey through the house, drum and base and psy-trance scenes.

She is best known for her deep, stripped back minimal techno sounds, combined with rolling tech house baselines and hypnotising progressive vocals and synths.

She is one of the popular Peterborough’s female DJ duo Dirty House Wives, and has supported line-ups of many famous acts, including Danny Rampling, Inland Knights, Utah Saints, GW Harrison, George Smeddles, Stanton Warriors, Leftwing:Kody, Danny Clockwork Orange and Pimpsoul, to name just a few.

Her DJ performances are never predictable, and her love for the music she plays is infectious to the crowd.

Our final act for the evening is Ant Semeraro - "Instant" - with some Strictly Soulful tunes for the early hours.
