The carbon neutral service is looking for a long-term plan to build a greener transport network across the city, with plans with Peterborough City Council to not operate fossil fuel-powered vehicles past January 1, 2030.

Bolt is the fastest growing mobility platform in the world, with over 50 million users globally. With restrictions lifting on non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality in the next fortnight, Bolt will offer a safe, affordable and carbon neutral way of getting around Peterborough.

The platform has also arrived in Milton Keynes after having a strong presence in London since June 2019.

Sam Raciti, General Manager - UK at Bolt, said: "We know people in Peterborough are desperate to enjoy their city again, to see loved ones and to support the economy. As lockdown lifts, we’re delighted to bring Bolt to Peterborough.

"With the city set to see growth as a result of the government’s Oxford-Cambridge Arc plans, alongside the council’s recent climate commitment, Peterborough is a natural home for Bolt’s safe, easy and affordable approach to transport."
