The nursery was awarded an outstanding Ofsted rating for a third time in a row earlier this month.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister, Boris Jonhson announced closure of schools and nurseries from Friday, in response to Coronavirus.
Following this advice, the Day Nursery has suspended childcare for regular parents from Friday. However, it has now opened its doors to help parents working as NHS staff, carers, working in the police and fire services, and transport industries such as train services. As the nursery said: “anyone who is required to help keep the country running.”
They have spaces, but they will be available at first come, first served basis. They have extended the childcare for up to 11 years-olds.
A spokesperson for the nursery said: “Following government’s advice we will be closing the nursery for regular customers. However, we would like to offer our services to frontline workers and help them to go to work.”
For more information, the nursery has advised people to get in touch with them on 01733 890555.
