Get snapping this lockdown with monthly Nene Park photo competitions

Nene Park is continuing its monthly photography competitions, with each month based around a theme for 2021.

The monthly photography competitions run by Nene Park Trust in 2020 were a great success, with winning entries for each month getting featured in the Nene Park fundraising calendar, either for 2021 or 2022.

For the 2021 competitions, each month will be given a different theme to encourage both new and experienced photographers to search for seasonal nature and wildlife and visit different areas of the 1,700 acres run by Nene Park Trust.

The team at Nene Park said: "At the beginning of each month, we will announce the new theme and share the winner from the previous month.

"This year, each lucky winner will receive a £20 voucher to spend in the visitor centre and gift shop in Ferry Meadows, as well as the accolade of their photograph being shared on our social media pages and featuring in the 2022 Nene Park fundraising calendar.

"The proceeds raised from calendar sales will go straight back into maintaining and nurturing the wonderful green spaces within Nene Park, for all the community to enjoy."

The chosen theme for January is sunrises or sunsets. Photographs can be taken in any area of Nene Park – Ferry Meadows, Orton Mere, Woodston Reach, Thorpe Meadows or the Rural Estate – but must feature a sunrise or sunset to be considered.

Entries should be emailed to with the name of the photographer, the date the photograph was taken and the location it was taken in.

By submitting photographs, entrants agree to their images being used on Nene Park's website, social media and print material in the future.
