Gallery: Just Be Kind is Chris's pictorial tribute to NHS

The new photograph book from Chris Porsz documents four decades of the NHS through his camera lens.

When deciding the title for his new book, Chris looked back at the memory of his mother choosing three words as her message to the world. Just Be Kind is "the very ethos and beating heart of our NHS", he writes in his foreword, and there won't be many people willing to disagree with that!

A paramedic by profession, Chris has been right in the midst of protest movements of the 1980s, the move into Peterborough City Hospital in 2010 and, of course, the Covid-19 pandemic. Across hundreds of photos - and still he apologises to the staff who don't feature! - he takes us into days in the life of those working in the NHS in Peterborough.

Take a look at some of the shots in our gallery. To see more, Just Be Kind can be purchased here.
