Plans for a Business Improvement District are currently in place in Peterborough, but it is yet to be implemented - though you can share your support for it through their various meetings.
Throughout May, Peterborough Positive will be hosting various meetings to explain the concept and how one is developed.
An email sent out to people registered with Peterborough Positive stated: "The major benefit of a Business Improvement District (BID) is that it delivers on the priorities of the businesses in the trading area.
"You can have your say on what you feel the priorities should be at our online business workshops. Taking place this month, the workshops will explain the BID concept and how a BID is developed, how the model works successfully across the UK and how it could work for Peterborough to enhance the town centre for all users."
A ballot for the BID will take place in Autumn 2021 and will ultimately decide whether it will successfully run within the city.
The BID is specifically for businesses in the below area:

To share your thoughts or hear the plans about the BID, you can attend three workshops on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 11, 9am-10:30am
Thursday, May 13, 1pm to 2:30pm
