How to become Queensgate's new Charity Partner

Each year, Queensgate partners with a charity to support – with Shine, Little Miracles and Anna's Hope seeing the benefits most recently – but how do you apply?

The opportunity to be Queensgate's chosen Charity Partner is coming up, with the final decision being made in December for 2021.

If you're registered as a charity and feel you could benefit from partnering up with Queensgate, you should record a two-minute video describing your charity, its work and why you want to partner with Queensgate.

They advise making it fun and creative, while also sharing information about your team, your aims, how you impact people in the city and your plans for 2021. Explain how Queensgate could help you and how you might adapt your plans to make events virtual if necessary.

The chosen charity will receive ongoing support across the next 12 months, with assistance to raise the profile and as many funds as possible.

The Charity of the Year for 2021 will be announced in December. Benefits include free use of Queensgate's high footfall and commercial space to help raise awareness of, and funds for, causes and campaigns. Queensgate's professional marketing, social media and public relations support services will also be offered, and there is also potential for the shopping centre team to donate volunteering hours.

Mark Broadhead, centre director at Queensgate Shopping Centre, said: "We find having a Charity Partner incredibly rewarding and cannot wait to start supporting our next charity. This is an excellent opportunity for a great local cause. We cannot wait to start watching your videos to help us decide which charity will receive the support of Queensgate next year."

The closing day for submissions is Monday, November 16, and entries can be submitted by email here
