The central shop will no longer be open for Costa customers, though the new option is just a stone's throw away at the former Pret A Manger cafe premises.
Doors will open from tomorrow, April 1, as they welcome their customers into the new store.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said: "We are really proud to be a part of the Peterborough community and are delighted to confirm that we will be opening the doors to our new and larger Costa Coffee store in Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
"Although the old store at Queensgate Shopping Centre will close, all eight Costa Coffee team members will move to the new store, and they can’t wait to start welcoming both their regular and new customers once opened.
"Across all our stores, we have implemented strict measures to ensure we operate safely, including social distancing, hand-sanitiser stations and enhanced cleaning processes, as well as additional training and support for team members.
"At this time, all Costa Coffee stores in England are open for takeaway only, items can also be purchased via our mobile ordering service from our Costa Coffee app and for delivery, via Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo. We can’t wait to open and start welcoming the local community to the new store so they can purchase their favourite Costa coffee."
Customers will be able to sit outside Costa from April 12, before being welcomed inside the store for the first time from May 17.
