A corn snake was found in Morrison's car park yesterday, May 20.

The brown and white non-dangerous pet needs to be returned to its owner, and pet page Peterborough Lost Pets are appealing for any information.

Many people have since shared their shock at finding a snake in the city, while others have said they have recently been finding a number of corn snakes out and about.

The lifespan of a corn snake is 10 to 15 years and grow to around 150cm in length.

An owner is yet to come forward to claim the snake, so if you have any information, get in touch with them on the Facebook group
