Get all the excitement of being out and about without getting rained on as we move into autumn weather.

Standard travel tickets are available for Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout September. Travel on a heritage locomotive through the city, Ferry Meadows, and out to the small surrounding villages.

Tickets cost £10 per person (anyone over the age of 1) or £50 for a compartment that seats up to 6. Parties will not be mixed.

For terms and conditions and to book tickets, see the website.

Planet Ice

Public ice skating sessions are back at Planet Ice - and while it might not be a warm indoors, it'll be fun!

Pre-booking is required to ensure that social distancing can be maintained. Face coverings are mandatory in all off-ice areas, but while skating they can be removed.

All skates are cleaned thoroughly after every use.

The Peterborough rink opened back up last month after an uncertain period while lockdown restrictions were easing, but the Planet Ice website is taking bookings for public sessions and lessons once again.

VR Happy

VR Happy, in Orton Southgate, is open for pre-booked visitors. The virtual reality interactive gaming experience has activities suitable for all ages and abilities.

There are four different VR suites, and families can book one arena for single player or group use in turns, or book two or more arenas for multi-player games.

Booking is free of charge and is recommended to secure a place.

VR Happy opens across the weekend from 11am to 7pm both Saturday and Sunday - but will also open on Mondays-Fridays if timeslots are booked. To see when spaces are available, check the website.
