And one local business has taken the customisation of graphics to the next level for local clubs and groups, while helping them financially at the same time.
Company directors Tony Blood and Luke Ferguson created Stattoo Ltd during lockdown, a graphic design, photography and personalised product company that can help sports clubs, schools, charities and groups to raise funds.
Tony and Luke have a wealth of experience working within grassroots sports as well as fundraising for charities - Tony was already a keen photographer and graphic designer and Luke is a qualified accountant by profession, so they were well set up to run the business.
Some of the most popular ideas are the customised shields, complete with vital stats, although these can also be produced for other sports and non-sport related styles such as gaming and pet owner designs.
The duo also hold socially distanced photoshoots - all participants are photographed individually from which they can also produce group photos - and graphics and GIFs to enhance sports clubs social media pages and enhance their game day experience.
A percentage of the sale proceeds are later donated back to the sports clubs, schools, charities or groups, which are rapidly growing in number.
Luke said: "We held a successful photo day for Netherton Utd Ladies & Girls with further clubs in Ramsey Colts and Huntingdon Girls also booked in during November which have had to be postponed.
"We have designed numerous shields for FC Hampton and City of Peterborough Futsal clubs as well as a number of corporate and pet themed shields. Our best seller at the moment, is The Posh shield, whereby we donate money from each sale to the Tommy Robson Statue Fund. The use of the Peterborough United badge has also been approved by the club, which is great."
"Starting a business in a pandemic was a risk, so we knew that things were going to be challenging. That said, we tried to establish a product range that was Covid-friendly. This second lockdown has caused a number of photoshoots to be postponed, but through our shield product range, complete with an online designer, we are able to continue trading and providing bespoke gifts to our customers.
"We want to continue to help local sports clubs, schools, charities and groups to raise funds through our PhotoDays whilst expanding this service into the corporate world.
"But we have also approached all EFL clubs asking if we can produce exclusive shields for them and we also want to expand our non-sport related range. Our pet and gaming shields are big hits and we are currently working on a Pet memorial shield.
"Our other project is enhancing the trophy and award world. It's fairly generic at the moment, so we want to give it a shake up, with brilliant personalised products."
