Engineers on-site after water supply disrupted in Longthorpe

Dozens of households in and around Apsley Way in Longthorpe, Peterborough, have had their water supply interrupted this morning (January 13).

Anglian Water engineers are currently on-site in Apsley Way after a reported burst water main, causing disruption to the water supply.

Residents in  Apsley Way, Wayford Close, Juniper Crescent, Thorpe Road and surrounding areas said they have been experiencing very low or no supply of water in their homes since about 7.30am today.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: “We are sorry that some customers in Longthorpe may have very low or no water supply at all.

“We have identified a burst water main in the area and we are working hard to fix it and get the water supply back on as soon as possible.

"We estimate supplies should be restored back to normal by midday today but we will keep our customers updated. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused."
