Burst water main disrupts supply in Bretton

Hundreds of residents in parts of Bretton are experiencing disruption to their water supply since 6am this morning (August 28).

Members of public residing in areas of Bretton including Langley, Oxclose, Stumpacre, Kirkmeadow, Watergall and Risby among others have complained of low water pressure or no water supply at all since this morning.

Apart from houses, the main pathway on Kirkmedow heading toward the pyramid centre was left flooded.

Anglian Water have confirmed this is due to a burst water main in the area and engineers are on site to resolve the problem.

They apologised for any inconvenience caused to its customers and said the supply is expected to resume back to normal by 4pm today.

Anglian Water said: We are working to repair a burst water in in the area to get the supply back as soon as possible. But it's proving to be a complex job and it could take longer to resolve than we had originally hoped. We apologise for the inconvenience."
