Woman's body found in River Nene identified

On Monday, June 29, the police launched an investigation asking members of public to come forward and help identify a body that was recovered from Potters Way, on Sunday, June 28. 

In addition, the police also found a red speed boat tied near the area where the body was found and were appealing to trace the owner. 

The woman has been identified but the incident is still being treated as unexplained, while an investigation is ongoing along with the coroner and a postmortem is scheduled for next week. 

Cambridgeshire Police have thanked members of public for their support in sharing the appeal.
