Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the free event, which describes itself as a "madcap mashup of culture, community, heritage and sports".
Powered 100% by volunteers and created by the community, YaxFest punches way above its weight.
The three-day event this weekend will include the traditional Yaxley Festival parade, led by Jack-in-the-Green and his attendants who will depart from Main Street on Saturday, May 14 at 11am.
Other attractions includer a fun fair, a food court, craft stalls, traders, and a charity football match, with a car show on Sunday and a dog show on Saturday.
