Brought to the city by Living Sport, the local charity dedicated to improving health and wellbeing by supporting people to get active, the popular Peterborough Summer 10K returns on July 4 2021, returning with a 5K distance.
The 10K route starts close to the Ferry Meadows visitor centre, runners take in Overton and Gunwade lakes before passing Lynch Farm Bridge, Nene Valley Railway, Bluebell Bridge and the Lakeside Centre.
A maximum of 500 people can enter, with almost all spaces currently still available.
All participants receive a bespoke medal and the option to either purchase a race t-shirt or have a tree planted instead of the t-shirt made. Choosing the tree planting option will see organisers pay Trees Not Tees as part of their UK sustainable reforestation project.
Entry fees range from £13 to £29, depending on distance and reward.
