City of Peterborough Swimming Club (COPS) is reaching out to young water-lovers across the city to invite them to a free trial to join the elite swimming club. COPS is ranked in the top 10 competitive swimming clubs in the country and has an incredibly experienced leadership and coaching team.

Budding swim stars must be aged six and up, and have reached a Swim England level 7 or higher.

Ben Negus, head coach, said: "We are proud to be back in a position to provide free trials to Peterborough's budding swimmers. Thanks to the safety standards set out by our providers and our team, we have opportunities for the future stars of Peterborough to come and swim in Peterborough for free and with safety guaranteed.

"Our team is a family, and we are looking for new members with big swimming aspirations to join the family. With former Paralympic silver and bronze medallist, Harriet Lee as part of that family, as well as 13 other international caps to boast about, no matter what your aspirations are, we can provide for it."

Throughout the pandemic, COPS have had to adapt and revise training schedules in line with Swim England and government guidance. Weekly Zoom calls kept them together, and online strength and conditioning classes and cooking tutorials have kept members engaged and focused.
