Peterborough United’s Christmas plans were brought to a halt on December 18, after an unnamed player tested positive for coronavirus and prompted a postponement of the club’s next three matches.
Their return to the pitch should have been on January 2, against Doncaster Rovers, but this too was postponed after Covid-19 cases diagnosed in the Doncaster camp.
Posh will travel to Lincoln to play the Imps, who currently sit top of the table, on Saturday, January 9.
The missed fixtures have been rearranged as follows:
- Charlton Athletic will visit Posh on Tuesday, January 19 for a 6.30pm kickoff
- Ipswich Town will visit Posh on Tuesday, February 9 for a 7pm kickoff
- Posh will travel to Gillingham on Tuesday, February 16 for a 6pm kickoff
- Doncaster Rovers will visit Posh on Tuesday, March 23 for a 7pm kickoff
All games will be behind closed doors, as per government guidance.
Further changes could still be made if Posh reach the next stages of the EFL trophy. The third round game against Portsmouth is on Tuesday, January 12, with the quarter-finals scheduled for February 2 and the semi-finals for February 16 - the day of the rescheduled Gillingham fixture.
