The women, who were brought into the Peterborough United 'umbrella' on June 1 having been under the Posh Foundation since their inception, have enjoyed two successful - albeit curtailed - campaigns over the past two seasons, before Covid brought both to an unexpected halt.
They were top of the division in both seasons, amassing 37 points from their 13 fixtures in 2019/20 campaign with 79 goals scored, and leading the way after six games in 2020/21.
The promotion means a step up in opposition, with new competition from Doncaster Belles, Solihull Moors Women, Burton Albion Ladies and Lincoln City Women. The new season is expected to begin in late August/early September.
Posh congratulated everyone connected with the women's team, particularly Kathryn Lusk, who has recently stepped down after playing a major role in the success of the ladies.
Trials for both the first team and the reserve team are being held in July at the idverde training ground, for any women interested in joining the squad. The trials will take place on Wednesday July 7 from 7pm to 9pm, and Sunday July 11 from 1pm to 3pm.
