A Peterborough theatre has revealed its adult cast for the upcoming School Of Rock – The Musical production.
The exciting show, undertaken by the Cresset Arts & Theatre School (CATS) & The Cresset, comprises both established and budding actors from across the county.
The well-loved musical, based on the popular movie, follows failed rock star Dewey Finn, who poses as a teacher at a reputable prep school.
The captive audience will watch as he turns well-behaved students into a dynamic rock band.
Will the Battle of the Bands ensue without their parents or the headmistress finding out?
Audiences can expect to enjoy both original songs from the film and 14 new compositions by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who also produced the Broadway and West End stage musicals.
Fans of the movie will get a chance to rock out to familiar favourites like You’re in the Band and Stick it to the Man, and end up on their feet to the finale – Teacher’s Pet.
The rock-inspired production will star performers, including Becky Jones as Miss Mullins, Adam Farrington as Ned Schneebly, Emily Norman as Patty and Charlie Russell as Dewey Finn.
Becky, a graduate of Acting at UCA in Farnham and currently represented by Red Talent Management, is ecstatic about her role.
Similarly, Adam, who holds a first-class degree in Music Theatre from the University of Central Lancashire, can’t wait to dive into the character of Ned.
Emily, who trained at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, will play Ned's girlfriend, Patty.
Charlie, the man taking on the main character Dewey, is a BA Honours graduate in Performing Arts.
Suitable for the whole family, this show aims to rock your socks off.
The performances will run from October 31 to November 3, 2024.
