Co-Op applies for new Hampton store licence -part of the Waterhouse Way development
A licensing application has been submitted to Peterborough City Council for the store this week.
The Co-op store is part of a masterplan for the area. Earlier in July, three applications forming the masterplan were submitted to the council to build on land south of Waterhouse Way in Hampton Gardens.
Developers The Abbey Group Cambridgeshire and O&H Properties have submitted plans for a three-storey building comprising of a "convenience food retail store at ground floor with two floors of flats above".
Once the store is up and running it will operate between 6am and 11pm, seven days a week.
There is also a Co-op store in Hampton Park.
