Grand opening of city's new nightclub Liberation on October 2

Liberation, Peterborough's latest nightclub, is to open on October 2

A video dancefloor produces moving video and graphics which revellers can dance on.

It is hoped the venue, based in the old New York New York premises on New Road, will help regenerate that area of the city.

On October 1 a VIP night has been organised, followed by a grand opening for the public on October 2. Three well-known faces from TV series Love Island are also expected to be in attendance at the opening night, including Andrea-Jane Bunker.

Tickets are now on sale for the opening weekend of Liberation, with doors opening at 10pm.

Operations director Peter Bell said: “Opening clubs may have been put back but there is one place that will ensure that you can get back your liberty back as Club Liberation in Peterborough gets the go-ahead.

“When the restrictions are lifted it will be ready to put a much-needed smile back on your face and the beat back in your feet.

“It is an exciting time for us. I remember going out in Peterborough and I know after such a challenging time we all want to get back to some normality.

"We want to deliver a great experience in a safe environment.

"To help us celebrate the opening of Liberation we have three very special guests from season seven of the very popular ITV show, Love Island."

Tickets are on sale for the opening weekend. The first batch are on sale for £7 each here.
