SW Car Supermarket launched its Share With charitable campaign earlier this year, pledging to give away £500 every three months. The initiative is designed to support worthy causes in Peterborough, where the company’s two showrooms are located.

It chose Families First Peterborough as its first Share With recipient back in September. The charity was awarded £500 to support its work for children, young people and families who have the most need.

Other local charities and community causes wishing to be considered for the £500 grant are encouraged to apply online from today (Tuesday, December 1), and will have until Tuesday, December 15 to submit their applications.

The winning cause will be selected by a panel of SW Car Supermarket employees, including the company’s Operations Director, John Marshall, and CEO, Anton Khan.

Mr Khan said: “Christmas can be a delicate time for many people and this year has been particularly difficult. We launched the Share With initiative as a platform to help those most in need and we’re looking forward to giving away another £500 again this month.

“Supporting charities and groups within the local community is tremendously important to us and it’s only right that we give back where we can. We’re sure it will come as a welcome Christmas present for a worthy cause here in Peterborough.”

SW is a used car supermarket with a conscience. The company is a large employer in the city and plays a proud part in supporting the local community as the largest independent dealer of Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen vehicles in East Anglia.

The car dealership will reopen its showroom doors again tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2) in line with government guidance following the second lockdown across England.

Charities and community groups hoping to be considered for the Share With grant can email, providing details of their cause and how the money will make a difference to them. Applicants have until midnight on Tuesday, December 15 to make their submissions.
