The 'Share With' initiative is designed to support the local community in Peterborough, where the used car company's two showrooms are based.

Launched on social media on Saturday, September 5, SW Car Supermarket Group announced it will be giving away £500 to charities or community groups every quarter. It already supports a local boxing club for children and young people in the city, partnering with AK Academy to sponsor all the kit required for the young members.

Anton Khan, founder and CEO of the SW Group, explained: "Supporting charities and groups within the local community is tremendously important to us.

"As a business that invests in and employs people from within the local area, it’s only right that we give back where we can. Trust me, you never know when things change and you may need a helping hand."

SW Car Supermarket was founded in 2010 by Anton Khan, a Peterborough resident who was determined to open a used car showroom that suits all budgets. In July last year, he opened another site in Peterborough - the SW Car Superstore in Werrington - and the group now stocks up to 2,000 used cars and showcases 35 different car makes.

Organisations that are hoping to be considered for the Share With grant can email partnerships@swcarsupermarket.uk with details about what they do within the local community and how the money will make a difference to them.

Requests must be made before 12pm on Saturday, September 19. The winner of the £500 grant will be contacted on Monday, September 28. For more information, including terms and conditions, visit swcarsupermarket.uk.
